AFRICABRIDGEConsulting (ABC) Group
Grant Writing & Funding Advisory

Grant writing, run like an institution.

AfricaBridge helps nonprofits, businesses, institutions, and development organizations identify suitable opportunities, prepare stronger submissions, and manage a strategic funding pipeline.

The grant lifecycle

Grant writers write. An institution runs a lifecycle.

Every funded application is the output of the same nine stages, in the same order — with every factual claim classified Verified / Likely / Unconfirmed and anything unverifiable flagged rather than assumed. This is the same discipline as our consulting pipeline, in the funding trade’s own language.

01

Funder Fit & Go / No-Go

Eligibility, revealed funding behavior, and the real path in — tested before a dollar is spent on writing. The cheapest possible outcome is an honest “don’t apply.”

You receive: The fit brief with a definite verdict — fee credits toward a package.

02

Funder Intelligence & Capture

What this funder actually funds versus what it says, award sizes, invitation-only realities, and the introduction path if one is needed.

You receive: The capture plan with a 90-day calendar.

03

Program Logic & Results Framework

Your program rebuilt as an outcomes chain a program officer can defend internally — results framework to institutional-funder standard.

You receive: The logic model and results framework.

04

Narrative Development

The full case in the funder’s priority language: your real numbers woven throughout, weaknesses addressed honestly rather than hidden.

You receive: The complete draft narrative.

05

Budget & Compliance

Arithmetic verified line by line, allowability checked against the funder’s rules (2 CFR 200 for federal), indirect rate applied correctly, budget telling the same story as the narrative.

You receive: The compliant budget with justification.

06

Attachments & Partners

Commitment letters calibrated to what is actually signed versus verbal, biosketches, and the capability statement — drafted, not requested and forgotten.

You receive: The full attachment package.

07

Reviewer Simulation

The application scored against the funder’s own rubric before submission, weakest claims named, fixes applied while there is still time.

You receive: The scored review and the fix list.

08

Submission Package

Format pass/fail checks, forms, registrations, and portal mechanics — the stage where compliant applications beat better-written ones.

You receive: The submission-ready package, principal-signed.

09

Post-Award & Reporting

For Annual Funding Programs: the reporting calendar, funder communications, and the record that makes the next application stronger.

You receive: The reporting discipline that renews funding.

Runs on our proprietary engagement platform, developed within the group; every stage output is reviewed by the principal before it ships. Fees for each tier below — or derive yours: Scope Estimator →

Funding intelligence

We evaluate organizational readiness, strategic fit, eligibility, competitiveness, documentation, deadlines, and delivery capacity before recommending an opportunity.

Our fee ethics

Never a percentage of your grant.

Commission and success-fee pricing violates GPA and AFP ethics codes, is prohibited by most funders — including federal agencies — and can put an awarded grant at risk. Every fee is fixed, transparent, and payable from operating funds, exactly as funders require. Funding outcomes are never guaranteed.

Recurring advisory

ABC Funding Office

An outsourced funding intelligence and proposal-development function for organizations that need consistent capacity without building a full internal grants department.

Foundation · $1,500/month

Steady pipeline, occasional applications

  • Monthly opportunity scan and prioritized pipeline
  • One strategy meeting per month
  • One concept note or document review per month
  • Funding calendar and deadline management

Annual capacity: up to 2 foundation-class applications — the applications alone cost $9,000–$15,000 à la carte; the pipeline, calendar, and continuity ride along.

Growth · $2,500/month

An active funding program

  • Biweekly opportunity research
  • Opportunity qualification
  • Defined proposal work units
  • Compliance review
  • Leadership report

Annual capacity: 4–6 applications including one federal-class package — $25,000–$40,000 of à la carte value, plus biweekly research, compliance review, and a monthly leadership report.

Institutional · $5,000/month

A managed multi-program portfolio

  • Managed multi-program pipeline
  • Tender and consortium support
  • Proposal calendar management
  • Leadership reporting
  • Priority advisory capacity

Annual capacity: 8–12 applications across programs, including federal, tender, and consortium submissions — plus ALL interim and final funder reporting and priority advisory access. Compare: one full-time grant writer costs roughly $98,000 per year fully loaded, and is one person; this is a senior-led program at $60,000.

Start an Annual Funding Program

What “scope” means on a retainer: defined annual capacity, not hours — the number and class of applications, research cadence, reporting load, programs tracked, and response priority. Need more in a given month? Additional applications are added at the published package price, or the band steps up — capacity moves, the price logic doesn’t. Twelve-month term with a quarterly exit option after month six. Funding outcomes are never guaranteed.
